Currently offering youth classes for ages 7 through 17, we teach traditional tae kwon do in a fun but challenging atmosphere. Through our belt advancement system, students will build a strong sense of self confidence through the hard-earned achievement of their training goals.

Our students learn to earn. No, you won't be a black belt in a specified period of time. Your advancement to black belt will be determined by your fitness level, time in training, and personal effort. Students of the Southern School of Martial Arts learn to have strong character and real values!
Tae Kwon Do Adult Classes
Adult classes for ages 16 to over 60. Traditional Tae Kwon Do training at the Southern School of Martial Arts offers adult students the unique opportunity to leave their day-to-day struggles and worries at the door and focus on training mind, body and spirit without distraction. Training in Tae Kwon Do is a great way to relieve stress while developing strength, stamina, flexibility, and agility. Training can be modified to fit nearly any level of physical conditioning.
Our belt advancement system provides students with clear, structured goals. Dedicated training guarantees that you will experience the satisfaction of achieving those goals. Expert instruction ensures that you will be properly (i.e. safely) conditioned for the mental and physical challenges required for each rank promotion.

The American Combat Arts Self Defense System is a self defense training program. Designed to build an individuals physical skills and reflexes for self defense, our training is offered as a continuous program.
In this class, we draw upon several different martial arts to teach practical and effective methods of self defense in a safe, friendly atmosphere. Our self defense class is great way to relieve stress while developing physical strength, stamina, flexibility, and agility - all while learning practical self defense skills.
If you don't use it, you lose it. So we don't do gimmicky seminars or one-trick wonders. We train to develop and maintain self defense reflexes and habits for a safer lifestyle.

A third-degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do, Ms. Cindy has been a head instructor teaching martial arts to students of all ages for fifteen years. She is dedicated to sharing her expertise with her students in a positive and energetic atmosphere. As a certified instructor with formal education in teaching, she offers the highest standard for martial arts instruction and practice.
Mr. Bill Hartwick

Master Bill Hartwick is the certified founder and grandmaster of American Combat Arts Self Defense System. Mr. Hartwick has taught martial arts as a certified instructor for several decades. He has drawn upon his extensive martial arts experience to develop a system for teaching practical self defense methods and skills in a safe but challenging environment.
